How much does land clearing cost?
It’s $250 an hour for machine and operator. Most residential jobs run from a few hours to a couple of days depending on how thick the growth is and how easy the access is. You’ll get an honest estimate before we start — free.
Are there hidden fees or fuel surcharges?
No. You pay when the machine is running, not when it’s cold. No fuel up-charges, no equipment fees, no bait-and-switch.
Do you charge a trip fee?
Only outside our local Jefferson County area — and it’s talked about up front, before your quote, so nobody wastes any time. Your total cost is settled before we ever load the trailer.
How big of trees can the mulcher take?
Trees up to about 8 inches in diameter get mulched standing. Bigger trees can be dropped and processed or worked around — we’ll walk it with you at the estimate.
What happens to the brush and trees?
Everything is ground into mulch on the spot and left as a ground layer. It stops erosion, chokes regrowth, and feeds the soil. No burn piles, nothing hauled away.
Will it tear up my yard or fields?
No. The machine runs on wide tracks and the mulching head works above the soil — no ripped topsoil or root craters like a dozer leaves.
Do I need a permit?
Usually not for mulching, because we don’t grade or disturb soil — but it varies by county and township. We’ll help you check before work starts.
How far will you travel?
We’re based in Bloomingdale, Ohio and cover Jefferson County and roughly a 50-mile radius — into the West Virginia and Pennsylvania panhandles. For anything outside the local area, the trip fee gets discussed before the quote.
Are you insured?
Fully licensed and insured. Documentation available on request.
How soon can you get to me?
